Our school has been included in the project Comenius since 2002, when we and four other schools from the countries of EU made an agreement to cooperate in majority of domains, the result of which should be a common musical, which was successfully performed in all five cities from which the schools are coming.

5 countries which participated in the project:

Austria

• Czech republic

• Germany

• Sweden

• Slovenia

Our pupils showed a big interest in making friends with peers and learning about the countries they are coming from. With a big deal of enthusiasm they surveyed the materials sent by the pupils from other schools and countries.

The project was brought to an end with a musical entitled MUSIC KNOWS NO LIMITS. From each school there were 20 children participating in this musical, so wehad the opportunity to watch 100 performers from five countries. To reach this stage, intensive training and practice were taking part at each of the participatory school. Musical was connected by the children from all five countries, precisely by one or two from each country. These children met on days of intensive practice in Austria. Our school was represented by Neža Štiglic who went through all this practice and who on tour exchanges with Eva Popovič. Among the mentors hosted by the Austrians, there were our headmaster Igor Topole and teachers Breda Stepan and Simon Dvoršak. The participants settled all about the tour following by the theatre sheet and the invitations.
